Modem recommendations

My DSL modem is being a bit erratic at the moment and is dropping connection
every hour or so, which is a major pain when playing multiplayer games; so I'm thinking of replacing it.

Anyone got any modems they would recommend?

Are you 100% sure the modem is the problem? DSL is susceptible to noise as well as distance from the central office.

Also, do you own your current modem or do you rent it? If the latter, just ask your ISP for a new one. Otherwise, I'd see if there was a store with a good return policy where you could test one out and see whether that solves your problem, risk-free.
