I guess you already know about this, but the people over at http://www.spacevidcast.com/ are pretty up to date on most space-related news, and take their time to explain the more complex issues involved. It's mostly from a USA perspective, but not exclusively.

The NASA and ESA sites are pretty obvious but there's a lot of info to find there. Deep Sky Videos have a lot of interesting astronomy videos, mostly with UK scientists and is well worth checking out.

Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy blog is quite good, there's quite a back-catalogue of posts on various topics (though as it's his personal blog, he does sometimes go on about other stuff): http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/
Universe Today is, admittedly, horribly laid out and the adverts get in the way, but they actually have a clue (compared to many other sites) and don't just copy-paste press releases when they talk about something new: http://www.universetoday.com/
Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is pretty much what it says on the tin. Every picture comes with a detailed description with plenty of links if you want to read more about a certain subject. It's been going since 1995 so the archive is pretty huge: http://apod.nasa.gov/
http://www.space.com/ isn't too bad.
Thanks so far. I'm going to look a the pages in the next days to see how I like their output.
At first sight space.com seems to have a bit too much content thats only slightly related, for my taste.

Another one you might like (I didn't have my bookmarks available earlier) is Atomic Rockets (http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/index.php) - it's got a lot of good topics on the actual practicalities of space travel. It's a bit of an odd one, as it mostly seems to be a "if you wanted to write some hard sci-fi, here's what you want to keep in mind", but it's a good read. One useful hint - navigate using the "Show topic list" thingy in the top right

I'm a bit late to this, but I've got a permanent queue in my RSS reader from http://www.thespacereview.com - 5 articles every Monday. I particularly recommend Dwayne Day's histories of spy satellites.
Also, the Carnival of Space is linked on Universe Today every week or so, and usually has some interesting articles.
