Did you know that our guild on Gunnar's Hold is almost at 500 members?

Did you know that we could do with some more influence?

Did you know that we're possibly removing the guild boon for karma?

Did you know that it's been a while since we've done a large-scale PVE event as a guild, aside from guild missions?

Well gang, now you do!

So next Saturday I'm organising some more antics before the usual guild mission at 8PM GMT (9PM BST).

We'll be meeting up in Lion's Arch three hours before our usual guild mission time. From there... well...

Where and when do we meet up?

Lion's Arch, 5PM (that's GMT - so 6PM if you're British) on Saturday the 25th!

Never been there before? Well you have a week from this post to discover how to get there! It's the main city in the game after all.

Do I need anything?

No! Although we will be using our own Mumble (details in the Message of the Day in our guild tab).

Since we'll be doing some fairly high-end PVE then coming on your highest level character may help you survive a little better. I also intend to put in some guild karma boosts in place so you might want to save your jugs of karma until then.

Where are we going?

To Orr!

I understand not everyone has been there yet, so we'll actually be running there from Lion's Arch like so as a big group...

What are we doing?

I want for us to try and take down the infamous Temple of Balthazar. However, we will also be doing PVE events on the way (time permitting) - even going for Tequatl (if he's up by the time we get into Sparkfly Fen). The more events we do while partied together, the more influence we'll bring in for the guild! That'll enable us to keep doing our regular guild missions. It'll also score some great karma for all of us.

Yep. I just need you to post in this thread if you're coming so I know the sort of numbers to expect.

Oh, actually. If you're looking to make a quick few gold - hit me up. Specifically I could do with someone to serve as a 'photographer' (standing back and taking lots of screenshots) for me at the event to include with my RPS GW2 promotion efforts. I understand that it's very hard to take screenshots when you're also part of the action, so really I need someone willing to not get embroiled in the action and instead take pictures - some with the HUD on but most without it.

Cheers for the support guys. I'm actually thinking of going sight-seeing while we're close to Orr (again, time-permitting) - visiting locations like The Vizier's Tower (and picking up those important achievement points!).

For the guild missions at 8PM GMT afterwards I'm thinking that we really try go plough on with those. It's been a while since we carried off a successful Guild Bounty and last night was the first Guild Trek I've done in a long time. Hopefully if we get the numbers turning out for this event, we can then carry those numbers forward into the missions. Plus, we can try out the newly-unlocked Guild Challenges. What do you think?

I shall be there too. As for the photographer-thing, I think ideally you need an Asura, since they take up the smallest portion of the screen and can get a better view of the chaos.

Yeah, I'll try around a bit with camera angles to see if I can glitch it. I've also got a level 80 Asuran thief, invisibility might come in handy to.

Edit: Potions could reduce/change character appearance even further.

BTW, are there any plans to do a bit of Southsun as well? I think that a bit of zergy karka-murder would be a nice way to have fun in that zone for once. Those damn crabs are pretty much GW2`s zombie carp, in my opinion.

By the looks of it, the Southsun story arc will remain at least until the beginning of June (the second chapter "Last Stand at Southsun" will launch at May 28th). We could definitely take a trip around and visit some quest hubs with a guild group. A lot of content can be done solo though (and with the help of some guides if necessary), while getting to Southsun is pretty much trivial. I'll think about it and might come up with something.

Aye, Southsun is tempting for Saturday night but the thing I'm worried about is the problem with overflow; when we ended up doing a bounty there we got stuck on an overflow and it took a while for everyone to get on the same server. We'll see anyway, as Orr remains the primary target.
