The "Add Friend" button is silent when I try to add someone - is that because they've not coded in a "friend request sent" thingy, or because it's broken currently? I've heard people moaning about the broken social doodahs quite a lot.

Okay, I've added all the NC-EU1 players in this thread to the Rock Traitor Shotgun outfit, we'll be having some mumble-based sessions on Wednesday night, so hop on to the herosquad mumble server Wednesday at 7:30 BST and we'll show those VS/TR chaps where the real fight is!

Since apparently no one is playing TR (any reason?), I've decided to defect to the NC on EU1, nick is PorcelainGod.

Though really, with my level of ability I'm probably helping the TR even more, now.

You are not the only one, beside waiting for them to optimize the game you can do some stuff in the userconfig.ini but first set everything to low ingame, in the userconfig.ini you can do this:
Under [Rendering]
RenderQuality - set this to 80 or even 60%
RenderDistance - 1000-1500 is more then enough and gets you more fps

Under [Sound]
SampleRate=44100 - you might have to add this line if its missing

Under [Terrain]
RenderFlora - Off

As before I've assumed anyone posting a VS EU Beta 01 character would like an RPS outfit on that server / faction invite and have sent everyone one. Else just ignore it.

If you'd like an invite to the outfit and don't have one when you log in, check if anyone's in the Barney squads in mumble (absolutely anyone in the outfit can send invites) or let me know via PM.

Anyone else finding it impossible to get on EU Server 1 in the evenings? the log in button is always non clickable for me.
