Sounds good.If you're running into trouble I'd also be flexible concerning the time.
Patch seems awesome, basically Lost Shores except hopefully a permanent feature. I`m definitely looking forward to seeing the rest of the storyline. Also, the laurel system looks to be yet ANOTHER currency in the game (how many is that, five-six? EDIT: EIGHT? Holy bad game design Batman!). Speaking of laurels, would anyone happen to know what the crafting starter kits do? The rest of the consumables are quite self-explanatory, but neither the game nor the wiki proved useful.

Far more than 8 currencies if you count dungeon tokens.

I've just signed up for the GH community forum. Squirrel, looks like you need to approve me to get access to the WvW stuff? I haven't done much WvW in the past but have jumped in over the last couple of days and have been really enjoying it so far. I'll be on again tonight.
On that note, I notice that I'm still a "peasant" in the guild - I don't post *that* much here but it looks like as an active forum member I should be upgraded a notch?
Hey BoB (ha, just made up a new name for you), just approved your GH group join request. I'll also take care of your guild member status when I get home tonight. Usually I don't check for every member if a promotion is in order, so that's handled based on requests (like yours).
EPIC, the crafting starter kits give you enough crafting materials to get you to level 50 of a given crafting discipline (source).
Yeah that's really great. Pretty impressed, on the whole, with this update.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. Now, if only I had bothered to ask before spending a full gold in a vain attempt to level artificer to the point where I can actually refine the tier 2 mats collecting dust in my bank... In all honesty, the xp curve on crafting is utterly ridiculous.
If you want to speed through (i.e. cheat) at crafting, here's the place to look:

Good for alt leveling. Chef will net you 10 levels for around 1 gold.

Right, I've got a question I couldn't yet answer for myself. I recently stumbled across the GW2 Gem Cards, which come with a code for 2000 gems and cost ~25$/25EUR. Obviously, this would be a potentially good deal for someone from EU countries if those card codes would work across regions (for example by having someone in the US to help you out). The question is if it is indeed possible to use codes from US Gem Cards with an European account. As I said above, I couldn't find an answer to that myself. So, has someone else already made some experiences with these cards?
Edit: I should note that I have no trouble with buying gems directly with my Creditcard from time to time and that I love to support Arenanet, but I wouldn't mind a good deal every now and then.

I'm pretty sure they are region locked.
