On a more serious note, I'll try to contact the remaining people who play on other servers, maybe we'll get a few more spots that way. After that, we pretty much will have to think about methods that rely on last log-in and define a threshold (one month? two? three?) before removing people from the guild roster, maybe send out re-invites for people that have been kicked.

I was thinking we could send out messages to everyone in the guild and if they don't respond we can kick them, since anet don't tell us who is active.
of course we'd have to set a sensible period of time to get a response.Hawksbane | Ripley Hawkswind | Aconitum Hawkshood | Fuchsia Panthera

Squirrel I thought you said that the membership premiums would be shared out with the officers!
Anyway, yeah I was thinking that we could have a discussion about the guild size but basically I agree with that strategy. The trouble with the game is that, as far as I'm aware, there's no 'last online' category on the roster. How do we identify our most inactive members without manually keeping an eye on who is online every day?
Edit: Hawksbane pretty much answered that question as I was posting.

If you log in on the site and sort the achievement leaderboards by guild you can mouse over someone's points and find out when they last earned some.
Don't expect this to solve the problem. You'll see why.

it doesn't tell you when they last earned some, but when they last moved position (kind of); actually I'm not entirely sure what it tells you since it doesn't have downward positioning - so even people who have gone down a position because someone has moved up have = next to their name.
So you're right that it won't solve the problem.Hawksbane | Ripley Hawkswind | Aconitum Hawkshood | Fuchsia Panthera

You had a method of identifying those potentially inactive players squirrel. Send them an ingame mail telling them why they are going to be kicked and that they can re-join at any time by posting on the forum/whispering you, me, duke, etc.
If those mailed don't respond within a week, kick'em and if they ever return they can easily join our glorious guild again.[GW2] The Blackfyre clan: Aliss (Guardian) Alyss (Mesmer) Lyss (Engineer) and others.

Yeah. I hope if there are people in our guild who are not representing RPS or not playing on Gunnar's that my event on Saturday will help motivate them to come back to us - without us having to kick and whatnot.

Hey guys, I'm not really sure how our bank system is working so I'm gonna ask here - can I take the "Superior Sigil of Air" from our bank? I want it for my ranger.GW2: Eknurr (Lvl 80 Engi), Elaina Mischievous (Lvl 80 Ranger), Neeaha (Lvl 80 Mesmer), Bald Carl (Lvl 80 Guardian)

Hey Doddier, there is nothing to be said against taking items from the bank, that's what it's there for after all. Just please consider putting something at some point (not necessarily now or soon, mind).

So we're getting ascended kit for Laurel+Badge costs, getting new infusions geared for WvW and each WvW rank awards a reward chest (to be done retroactively too!). Oh and new WvW daily achievements so you can do it all in WvW if you wish.
Apparently they're going to be flooding the market with ectos so expect the price to go down, make what you will out of that.[GW2] The Blackfyre clan: Aliss (Guardian) Alyss (Mesmer) Lyss (Engineer) and others.

fantastic, I'm glad I've been holding onto my laurels.
and a crash in the price of ecto's will be great for me too
although I can't help thinking that they have massively overcomplicated things with Ascended gear when there was a simple way of introducing it already.
also a little worried about the specialisation of WvW but I guess, multiple armour sets & ascended sets will sort that out.Hawksbane | Ripley Hawkswind | Aconitum Hawkshood | Fuchsia Panthera

Would just like to say a big thanks to Hawksbane, Squirrelfanatic and others (sorry I didn't see your usernames!!) for letting me in on an AC dungeon run last night. it was an experience! I was obviously of no use, and I even had to leave early near the end due to my wife being annoyed as the tea was getting cold... I still had great fun though and it was definately a fun first experience of dungeons in GW2. Sorry you had to take a lvl 37 newbie with you! Once I am less of a newbie I hope to group with you fellas again

And thanks for coming along, poguemahone! AC can be a bit of a pain if you are not well prepared for the more difficult bits (and don't have 2 Guardians with you...), so that run probably was a kind of baptism of fire for you.
Next time will go smoother for sure.

although it's only supposed to be a lvl 35 dungeon; that run is one of the hardest dungeon runs there is, so well done.Hawksbane | Ripley Hawkswind | Aconitum Hawkshood | Fuchsia Panthera
