I picture that as an insecure soldier who keeps adding stuff, never sure if he's explaining himself.

I always thought cult classics would be like something that's a failure commercially or ignored by the public but gets it's own following and had critical reception soon (or later) after that. Something like STALKER: SoC .

Half-Life was very popular on release and was held up as one of the greatest FPSes in gaming
Bah! My blog is fulla bollox! What? Don't believe me?Here! Just look at it!

Yeah - You can have a cult video game, which is one that's not that great, but still retains a faithful fanbase despite its mediocrity, a good example might be Gotham City Imposters. A cult classic is a game that was panned/didn't do so well, but then in hindsight you get critics and commoners alike saying 'Actually this is pretty good' a few years down the line.

    That's my understanding anyway.

Possibly related: HL2 is Steam's daily deal - 66% off for those 6 people that don't have it already.
Open-faced sandwiches are upon you whether you would risk it or not.

Yeah, one of the admins on the Black Mesa forums posted about it. I thought I might have to search for a very old HL1 cd in my parents house to play this but just installing the Source SDK base 2007 is enough.
