man, that was a blazingly good battle vs the TR on FF, the ebb and flow was so well matched - also gave me enough footage to ... yes, finally - finish off the next moments compilation vid of our brave band of banned bandoliered bandwagoners

    Oh, the humanity!

Wading through that has proven a little challenging. Despite managing to get hold of an almost-new router my internet's still knackered. BT helpline time.

Ayam, if I didn't have long arms I'd have been struggling to get anything done with it as it's basically a narrow gap! I wonder if R2D2 had a seppuku attachment?

The problem was that the Openreach modem was overheating / stopped / restarting... aaand repeat. They offered to provide a free upgrade about one or two years ago but never actuallly mentioned the overheating issues when the offer was made so we never took them up on it. Not too happy with BT right now.

The solution was to move the ethernet switch from on top of the modem to allow it to cool properly. That has solved two weeks of internet problems. FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-

It does, however, mean that I can stop boring you all senseless with this and we can concentrate on the important things, like shooting those pesky TR and VS.

I do indeed have a seppuku attachment. Coincidentally, it's also made by BT Openreach.

That sounds like the sort of high tech weapon the VS should have:

    New in the Depot

    Melee weapons:
    * Combat Modem (VS only)

If you didn't like the SAW that much then maybe take a bit of a break and pick a weapon you think you'll enjoy?

Hacksaws it is then! Just to have a MAX weapon Auraxium.
Waffly, Jackhammer would be fun, if I wanted to play a heavy, but after all 2 Auraxiums on LMGs allready. Also, I'm not gonna compete with Munroe for Jackhammer master title...

How do Auraxium medals work for MAX weapons, are they independent on each arm?
Are you going for double Auraxium medals for Hacksaw?

Anyway, after you've got those I think you should work on your Auraxium medal for the Vortek Rotary! ;-)

Hop on the mumble channel and someone will invite you, since you have to be online in game to get the invite.

Ok. Been thinking awhile, but couldn't get to conlcusion why. So question to all RTRSers. Why do we not participate as much in NCTO ops?
Also, we do not have such small numbers, we can field more than one squad, but issue is, why are we so inconsistent at playtimes? Guessing mostly because, there are other games to play.
It might be just me, but I'm getting tired of running around like a lone wolf sometimes and wish for some squad play, which isn't always fully delivered on Freedom Fridays. FF is fun, but I still lack something. Mostly probably because even having a full squad on non FF days is a rare sight, least for me.
I'll try to circumvent this issue I have myself, but I might end up leaving RTRS and only joining you for casual friday fun. But first I'll try to see, if I can take up DL's offer to join them on their mumble and run with them in squads as a guest, rather than just leaving this.
So that's my question and plan laid out.

Most of the outfit isn't interested in recruiting anyone else. I get tired of the small group play also, it's half the reason I'm not on as much any more.

Im sorry to hear that. I would love to get a platoon sized group on event nights, being squashed by zergs annoys me greatly.

Maybe people should coax their friends into coming this friday, get a taste of what real ps2 is about

So next friday (24th of may) we are doing our own call to arms? I would say that sounds like fun. I'll try to convince some friends of me to give it a try (or in some cases a retry :P).

I would say make it a "larger" event. One freedom friday with lots of new people, so the old guard don't need to be scared of the new faces. Would be fun if we where able to reach a platoon (or 2 :P)

Yeah. Speak of CtA, any chance of talking to Jim about organising one for us? The last one was very much Vanu and we wound up organising something through NCTO as opposed to RPS.

My friends that play are already all members of RTRS
