Wow, now you're selling it!
Wow, now you're selling it!
I should be around for the one on the 29th December and I might know a few others that will be, but yeah, that weekend between Santa's birthday and Jool's hootenany-thingy is always a weird time where a lot of people disappear. They won't get cake!
I've finally gotten set up in London. So I hear there's board games afoot. Should I bring Race for the Galaxy & Dominion?
You should. Board gamers come couple of hours early (2? 3?). Also, welcome to Dunwall.
Oh no! Turns out I can't make this month's.
Who else am I going to be able to engage in conversation about Hotline Miami? I can't just approach people on the bus and talk about midnight Miami murder, or can I?
I'm going to be in the UK Thur-Mon this week/next, will anything be happening, I'm not often in the northern hemisphere and it seems I would be silly not to jump at this opportunity =)
@2ds: Not a regular Social Club meet-up; that's scheduled for Saturday 27th, but SOMETHING is indeed happening!
ATTENTION: GSL Finals BrunchCraft & DreamHack Barcraft
The RPS Social Club (that's you, if you're reading this and want to come along) has been invited by LondonBarcraft to join their GSL Finals BrunchCraft & DreamHack Barcraft event this Saturday.
It takes place at The Assembly House, NW5 2TG on the 20th of October and starts at 9am in the morning. Entry is free (their events are non-profit); all they ask is that attendees behave nicely in the pub, so please don't run around smashing up furniture and buying beer for minors and stuff like that.
Here's some more info from the organiser:
If you're on Facebook, feel free to RSVP so they can track attendance and prepare accordingly. Our next event is a bit different from what we generally do (following full tournaments on Sat/Sunday) but it is definitely worth it, we are going to watch the finals of the most renowned SC2 tournament in the world, the GSL which is held live in Seoul, Korea. That means the time-difference makes this not a Barcraft but a BrunchCraft :)
We open at 9AM, I don't see the games starting before 10am and they generally last till 1PM - after that we will show some of the MLG vs Proleague VODs and play it by ear. We will organize free giveaways during the event and might attract some pro players willing to play some showmatches live for us, but this is yet to be confirmed.
About the tournaments:
LondonBarcraft on Twitter: @LondonBarcraftMore info on the tournaments we will show. If you have to know one thing about Pro SC2: Koreans used to be kings. Things may change this season.

It's fairly sure that I'll be in the London area next weekend. So I'll most likely be there!
Looking forward.
Oooh - it's this Saturday, yay! And it's nearly Halloween. May have to bring treats. Or tricks. Or witches. Or burn some guy... (no hang on, think that's the week after) :D
I'll be there. If I can find the place..
When should we plan to arrive if we wish for boardgames?
I spew words about Videogames, SEO and general geekery at Jaketucker.com
Well I don't think the pub is the best place to play big, deep, epic games. That is what putting food in a slow cooker on a Sunday and having everyone over is for. I like things that take less than five minutes to explain and have rulebooks that are less like books and more like pamphlets.
I may have got my wires crossed here but who is going to bring the slow cooker to the Blue Posts tomorrow?

Is anyone bringing board games? Who is bringing board games? What games are you bringing?
I am wavering.
