    Deus Ex mod suggestions

So I grabbed the original Deus Ex from the Steam sale. I've never played it before. I know, I know, it's a classic, but I was a console player exclusively back then. (Actually, a confession: I played Deus Ex: Invisible War on the original Xbox. I didn't even know it was a sequel, or that the first DE existed. I didn't like it, though.) In the years since I've become primarily a pc gamer, and I've caught up on a lot of the old pc classics. I just never got around to DE until now.

Anyway, to my point. A Google search turned up a host of mods, and I'd like some advice on which to pick up. The effect I'm trying to get is something similar to what the Complete mods do for Stalker. That is to say, they pretty the game up, fix issues, maybe modernize the UI and tweak some things, with perhaps some small additions, but they leave the experience itself as vanilla as possible.

    Suggestions?

This guide seems pretty good: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comme..._i_spilled_my/

Have to say, I haven't gotten round to playing it yet after following this guide, just loaded it up to make sure it worked. It certainly looks impressive though.

Biomod and the Deus Ex fixer (plus the D3D10 renderer, which is on the same site as fixer) is all you need.

    Fixer and D3D10 renderer: http://kentie.net/article/dxguide/
    Biomod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/biomod

Fixer improves compatibility with new machines, and Biomod is absolutely mandatory - it rebalances skills and augs and so fixes the few bits of bad design Deus Ex had.
    Multinational man of misery.
