I wish there was a way to "favorite" a thread so that it shows up at the top of the list for me. This is a great thread I'd like to keep track of over time without having to ,well, keep track of it.

    Hmmmm looks nice:

A hack and slash action adventure, set in a fantasy pixel art environment. Solo or cooperate in this adventure from bottom to top of Castle Hammerwatch. Kill hordes of enemies with varied looks and features through four unique enviroments with traps, hidden secrets and puzzles. The game is inspired by the old Gauntlet-series, but adds a lot with online support, character development, complex levels, bosses, and much more. Like gauntlet, the focus is fast paced action, but with elements that forces you to think just a little bit more!

Dark Storm has been delayed, due to a few setbacks. The level design is almost done, and the finishing touches are being put on it right now. However, the largest problem we are facing right now is the fact that the amount of work that needs to be done (mostly skinning and animating) is much greater than we originally anticipated. Therefore, Dark Storm is looking for a few new animators and level designers to join the team.

Dark Storms estimated release is by May 1, 2013
    May 1, 2013

Don't you remember? That was totally not one of the devs at all and was just a crazed fan who was giving the devs a bad name for spamming up the forums so that when the dev really DID come to spam up the forums we were supposed to love them :p

MEGAH NEKROHHH. It's been briefly covered by RPS a couple months ago when it was kickstarted, which apparently I missed.

The Deer God is a 3d pixel art game about reincarnation. The hunter becomes the deer, the deer the hunter.
Find others like you, discover new areas, avoid wilderness creatures, and search for hidden secrets.

    "Am I a deer; WHY"

"How do I get out of this body"

"Did I just make out with that female deer"

These questions and more, abound in The Deer God.

Procedurally generated landscapes will allow you to experience the game in a different way each time.
Learn from the altruistic DEER STATUES.

Enjoy some amazing music by Evan Gipson.
Here is what the Kickstarter page says about The Deer God: it will “challenge your religion and your platforming skills.” It is inspired by “being outside in the woods, building forts, seeing deer standing motionless in the forest and chasing after them.” It is, writes the creator, “dedicated to a small cardinal, whom I ran over recently. I feel bad about it – so I’ve decided to give him a second life within this game.”

Looks promising. The art style reminds me a bit of Sword and Sworcery EP.

I wish I could have this as my new wallpaper though :/

    Hands of Fate

A mix of card playing and a brawler. The cards kind of come to life, which I think is pretty cool.

I love the artstyle (and covered it in the kickstarter thread), but the writing seems a little pretentious. As in, "this game may change the way you think...."

Also, Sunless Sea. Good lord, Sunless Sea. They're completely reworking combat, and the writing is excellent. (There's still a significant risk of grind though).

Grabbed it with one of the Humble Bundles awhile back, it's great, I'd love to see more singleplayer hardcore survival "sims" rather than the multiplayer sort everyone seems to be chasing since DayZ (though I enjoyed DayZ aswell, but I digress), there are surprisingly few for how popular this genre seems to have become.

Oh, it's also received a new update recently !
