People hating on Episode II are worse than Hitler. That movie is non-stop fun.

That being said, I liked Clone Wars, and the last series (5) was just generally great. The ending to the entire series was wellmade and fitting.

So anything past the second death star (6 ABY?) is essentially dead, and anything before little orphan annie is questionable.
But we saw the end of the Old Republic in the prequel trilogy, which is certainly canon.

The movie establishes that there were wars with the Mandalorians* and that there was a republic before Palps got all up in it.
L_no seemed to be referring to The Old Republic in the sense of KOTOR and SWTOR (and the awesome adventures of Zayne Carrick, the special-needs Jedi!), which is still anyone's guess as to whether that still counts

*: Did the movies specifically mention wars with the Mandalorians? I know it alluded to the Mando'ade being wiped out by the Jedi (hence Jango Unchained), but did it explain the history of them?

movies dont have mandalorians, clone wars does, in spades.

I could have sworn it established that Boba (and Papa Jango) were Mandalorians, it just probably didn't explain what that was.

They do wear Mandalorian Armor, if I'm not mistaken. I do hope the KOTOR events still "count", those were some of my favorite Star Wars stories.

And just yesterday i stumbled into his also fantastic deconstruction of the second prequel, The Clone Wars (9 parts!):

And the angry female Star Wars fan did an update to her first rant which is worth a watch for the sincere anger:

Oh and she has an awesome encounter with a prospective date that scews it up badly by saying he prefers the prequels (and worse!), which is kind of geek gold:

I'm seriously enjoying all the hating on these films. After feeling lobotomized coming out of the cinema after the Phantom Menace (and waiting for the DVD releases of the next two films) i never knew so many people felt pretty much exactly like i did over these films. It's sort of cathartic to hear about it, and funny.
