    X-COM Ported to Javascript

    http://epicport.com/en/xcom

Someone ported OpenXcom to javascript using emscripten, so it's playable on modern browsers with no plugins whatsoever. It's actually playable, no big slowdowns.

Truly, we live in the future.

Browsers can do some impressive stuff these days.

Search "WebGL examples" for some nice goodies.

While it uses a Java applet/plugin, it is rather impressive.

Obligatory mention - Mission in Space: The Lost Colony. It's a scenario-based tactical game.

Great. I'm now one step away from being fired as it seems I'll never get work done ever again.

Does it means that I can play it with zero problems other than an internet connection required to play it? If so, I concur

It only needs a connection to download the program, you can play offline if you download the .js and change the URL on the HTML. You also need the original data.

Excellent stuff. The original, especially the OpenXcom version, is still some way better than the recent remake.
