Yeah, same. For me, winning a 0 prestige vendetta has no profit anyway, you'll get more on turn 10.

Starting this vendetta was perhaps one of the most retarded things I've ever done in a SI game. After failing in the Modest Proposal game too I'm beginning to think I may just take the easy way out and go for a turtle charisma build in the future. Not too much you can do wrong with that.

A tournament of champions! Quite the event this early in the game. I suspect one of you has a trained praetor up his sleeve...or whatever it is demons wear.

I have to say, the lack of constant prestige generation makes these types of events a lot more interesting.

Fucking Veil of Smoke, man. I took the chance on praetor combat after someone destroyed my second legion, but you just can't beat that without combat moves of your own.

Also, game mechanics question, do you get a praetor level up for every battle you won in the tournament?

Note: I did not start the championship!

No, while every regular praetor combat results in a promotion (or death I suppose) the championship only offers the laurel for absolute victory.

I earned the scythe, what else could it have it been?
