There's Tapatalk and Forum Runner, AFAIK it's possible to use them both at the same time.

There is no cost whatsoever to install them but the app itself is $2,99 for Tapatalk and $1,99 for Forum Runner(which has a free read-only version).

Both of them are available on iOS and Android. Tapatalk is also available for WP7, webOS and Blackberry.

Installing them wont affect in any way whomever uses the standard version of the forum, aside from a pop-up on smartphones, which never appears again after canceling it.

Why bother with an app? A mobile version of the site would be much better.

It may be better for you, I find it a lot more easier to view forums using either app but they can use a mobile skin as well, they don't have to choose just one of them.

No reason to limit their options, all these are free.
