    I’m a 1 man indie developer. I was made redundant a few years ago after 15 years working for main stream studios. At that point I wanted to give indie development a go. So far it’s gone amazingly well!
    He's developing indies.

    Interesting reaction :)

    Articles like this are mana for us developer types who are are perma-wondering how the hell we afford another tin of beans - I guess games players are less interested in the mechanics of it tho.

    My jaw dropped when I'd read the original post yesterday (it was making rounds on twitter). 2 millions, that's a whole lot of money and I'd never suspected that game was that successful. The highlight of the article for me was him breaking down revenue from various platforms and sales.

    Well, despite it's simplistic nature, it's really good, and there's a ridiculously huge amount of people that are "Recommending" it on Steam (18441 at the time of writing).

    I think because it taps into a part of the gamer psyche which is underused - that of getting the player's other interests (in this case music) involved in the process...

    That and the fact it's just really well put together and plays great :)
