Before we even get into the power of emotional response and emotional thought, rational thinking based on the type of memory that humans are best at is ... an unfortunate sort of rationality on which to rely.
I think of [the Internet] as a grisly raw steak laid out on a porcelain benchtop in the sun, covered in chocolate hazelnut sauce. In the background plays Stardustís Music Sounds Better With You. Thereís lots of fog. --tomeoftom
so this now has warhammer 40k: dawn of war, and titan quest for those who weren't paying any attention
I thought they'd add Space Marine at some point but I guess not
dawn of war 1? or 2?
Dawn of War is good. The best campaign is in dark crusade though.
The campaign in Dawn of War and Winter Assault are both more story driving. The one in Dark Crusade is like playing a game of Risk. I enjoyed both, but if you want to hear a story as opposed to make up your own, Dawn of War. If you want your own, Dark Crusade.
Plus in DC you get to play as Necrons which is always a win!
Am I wrong in thinking that the Dawn of War in the bundle is only the original, without any of expansions? It seems like the 'Game of the Year' version has some extra maps and stuff, but that's all.
Started writing a blog for video games, roleplaying, game mechanics, and AARs.
So yeah, no expansions.Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Game of the Year Edition features the amazing original Dawn of War game as well as eight additional maps and additional online modes.
Meh 1 is so old and has been made utterly obsolete by 2 (I think). Plus I actually have 1 =.=
Eh? 2 and 1 are quite different.
What the hell have you been playing? DOW2 is like Company of Heroes on crack. It's faster, more intense, and you get ripped apart for your mistakes easier. "DotA style" is something you clearly don't understand. It doesn't have lanes or creeps, but it does have map control.2 is more Commandos style with a DOTA style multiplayer.
The campaign of DoW2 is very much like a commandos style game where you have a limited amount of guys with a limited amount of equipment each one being a specialist in a field. In DoW2, instead of it being one guy per specialization, you get around a 3 man squad (devastators, scouts, marines).
3v3 in a Map Control game where dominate control wins. Sounds a lot like DOTA or LOL to me. Obviously minus the creep. I'd also argue is does have lanes as most of the maps I remember playing you could split into 3 lanes.
I've not played company of heros so I can't draw a comparison to it so I'll draw a comparison to the closest game I've played.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way
