okay, I'm creating a pitboss server with a large map. with you 3 fine bastards and myself as a brit (I'll think on which) and yes Dom, I'll avoid deleting the natives this time.

Anyone else, I'm more than willing to host multiple games and as my solium infernum guests will attest... But I'm not 100% if 2 pitbosses on one pc is feasable so it might be a pbem game.

Just an FYI, I didn't get the email prompts working, I'll try again tomorrow, so Tikey if you log on you'll find you can take 2 turns as the rest of us have done this turn.

I wonder if there is a way to host a server using a service? I know server hosting is often ridiculously expensive but i cant see a turn based game being that demanding.

The early game is vastly improved by the natives, this really is a glorious multiplayer game, I see dozens of opportunities and hazards. The pressing urge to settle vs the need to have a game plan. I found some awesome deposits near barren wastes... Could that possibly pay off, yet I must act.

Not a problem. If only I could figure out how to make pitboss handle multiple connections in the early phase.... Actually, I think files will port from one hosting method to another seamlessly (but pbem and simultaneous don't play nicely together) so you could play an hour of online play together, then once the early game was done snatch the file from the directory and play pbem.

That would be ideal.

AI is perfectly serviceable at housekeeping, but my vote is we wait.

Take your time, AI is good in mid game to keep the balance in check but sometimes just fails in the start. Especially with your location you want to pay attention to your actions. Did I mention the indians around you no longer have an interest in guns.....
