    I don't understand how headphones can have 5.1 sound when they only have two speakers?

    They can have several speakers in each ear cup, with minute variations in angle. It's not as good as a room 5.1 setup but the difference from stereo is noticeable.

    Right now I'm leaning towards the Tritton AX Pro simply because it's the only one I find that covers all my I/O needs (optical for console, 3.5mm x4 for PC). But it's on the higher end of the budget scale and not sure about the brand's audio quality.

    Any thoughts?
