Thanks everyone for a wonderfully tense night on Indar! We were down to just a single territory and on the verge of losing our perpetual continent lock at several times during the night, but we made a "truly stalwart defense" for the will of Vanu, first at Copper Ravine/Valley Storage Yard, and later at Scared Mesa Skydock (what a place for a fight!) where we shrugged off epic armoured assaults and wave after wave of galdropping MAX-crashes.

When I logged off at about half past midnight GMT, we had rallied and taken back more than 40% of the continent, in part due to the Hydraffe we did on the east flank, and thanks to the major distraction that Scarred Mesa turned out to be for the enemy.

And my god, that Sundy train that TR (or NC? Who cares, shoot them!) brought over the bridge. I don't think I've seen that many sundys cumulatively over my entire PS2 career. (No jokes, there were 30+ of them)

An epic defense. What was clearly a temporary allianceof TR and NC pressing a sustained assault on all VS territory for most of the afternoon and long into the night.

While I'm confident that we could have held them off indefinitely, I think the only reason the assault eventually let up was because the NC got greedy and eventually cut the TR off from us.

It was worth it to see the swarms of tanks and sunderers exploding en-masse to a rain of rockets and the sky darken with loaded galaxies dropping maxes on us by the dozen (who also died in a hail of rockets)

I enjoyed the time I was there, too - the epic formations of Gals and their escorts was a first for me, phenomonal! Sadly my son started crying so my effort was curtailed, but it was one of the most fun nights I've been involved with there thus far. Until I took an TR bullet to the knee, anyway.

mhm, jim's actually in the outfit (andov) and he joins ops occasionally. I agree though, a 'the adventures of the hydraffe' series would be interesting. maybe now is not the best time though, as we're still suffering from post-GU2 issues. in the meantime, more awesome pictures and war stories would probably go a long way. maybe we could start an AAR thread here?

There should probably be a round-up of details about the various RPS outfits. We could do with nominating a video to put forward (I quite like that brilliant re-mix of the official Vanu video...)

It's on my "list of things to sort out in the outfit once I finish my PhD". I was gonna get in contact with waffly / Ayam about putting forward something to John then. But if you fancy going ahead with it now, please do.

Some genuine AARs would be good - what we have so far is well, more like chatter about what we did. An actual report, talking about "and then I went to X and Y happened" would be great for a Weds or Thurs

Agreed with Ridebird, we must have tonnes of video now. Perhaps a night should be spent getting a few more posed shots, groups of us together infront of gals, or standing around the capture points guarding them etc, but fighting and blowing stuff up we must have tonnes of.
