It's funny to think I logged into wurm a few months back and the server was deserted, and now the server isn't up because so many people want to play

Let's just settle at 19:30 UK tomorrow.
By then they should have sorted out the initial problems and the new server should be online.
I am tired of waiting, it's almost 3 AM here. Going to bed.
I don't think demand was the main cause, just the supreme fun of surprise bugs
A few issues they cited as cause for the delay:
It's just your usual problems that happen because deploying software's always more complicated than you first think...A firewall issue with the new server
A client issue
An issue with the horse model
Server's still up now though

Managed to log in just now, everything looks pretty awesome :)
Can't wait to get home from uni and meet up with everyone
We should stay around the hometown for the first few days as you get free insta fill food for like 24 hours of gameplay and its pretty damm usefull for the gearing up part.
What is the name of the new launch server?
Okay, just in case anyone was wondering, because I at first thought there would be a completely new portal for Pristine:
You can get to Pristine through the Freedom Isles portal in the tutorial section, and that's the only way to do it. Server is not connected to any other servers as of yet.
I connected and there are deeds placed almost everywhere around the starting position, so we should start moving as soon as possible.

Wait, what? So how do you get there if you've already left the tutorial?
Also, deeds everywhere already. Big surprise. So much for "pristine".
I read on Wurm's forums you can only get there from another server if you have a character in an Epic server. Moving from another freedom server to Pristine won't work, you'd need to start a new character from scratch.
Also, every forum post about the new server over there is about deeds and deeds and deeds, so I'm not that surprised they have them everywhere already.
Not connected to any servers, sinister agent.
You need a new character and go through the portal at the tutorial. That's what I read everywhere, at least.
Bodge and me played a bit already and we made some nails and got some basic food etc., looking at a place somewhere not too far away from the starting point to set up a tiny storage building.
You started without us?
Treacheryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I spent a bit of time doing basic training (digging holes, chipping at rock, botanizing) and watching other brave pioneers venture into the untamed wilds. No iron yet, but I've found cotton and a sapphire. Comrade, can you provide directions to your shack?
We haven't actually build anything yet, been chopping down some more trees etc.
We are looking for a place now that is a bit further away from the hundreds of people at the starting area, there is incredible lag due to all the traffic there.
Yeah, we need some kind of meeting point, if you could give us directions to where you've set up when you do then that would be great
I would like to get in on this action. I'm on that other continent though, so time zones might be weird.
If you mean N. or S. America, I'll be around in the evenings most days, so you won't be entirely alone.
If you mean Asia or Oceania, I might catch you on nights if I stay up late.
If you mean Antarctica, there is nothing anyone can do for you. I'm sorry. :(
Some nice scenery in the Northwest, valleys and a sort of fjord and that. Loads of nasties, though.
I'm in a 'merica, specifically the north one. Glad I'm not alone. That said, most of the folks I've played Eve with are various species of European, so I'm used to ops at odd hours and strange accents.
Heh, I know what you mean: I used to run with a small ANZAC corp in EVE, and it was crazy fun, if tricky to schedule for sometimes.
