I was just strolling by IGN when I come across this:

Holy crap! Is this for real? It's strange that there was no anouncement (also, the www.familyguyonline.com site is down for me so I couldn't check). Between this and the Michael Jackson MMO, I think we might be going to far.Registrations for the closed beta of Family Guy Online opened today. Didn't know there was a Family Guy Online? Neither did we! Some basic snooping reveals, however, that the game will run in-browser and on Unity, and will feature two currencies -- cash and "clams." The description for clams leads me to believe that it will be the primary currency of the game as it is earned by "doing things and accomplishing tasks that you might be challenged to complete." Therefore, cash is likely obtained with real money. We also know it is allegedly launching this autumn.
An animation loop on the website of Mayor Adam West shows a smooth-looking cell-shaded model. If the game itself looks as good, there could be potential here. It could also be a total no-effort cash-cow.
Still, I can't tell if it's a joke of it's actually real...
