I know my way around a computer, but i'm not really that tech-savvy. Having a 64 bit system probably isn't helping either. I also don't have the time to endlessly tinker, so if i can't get something working after more than a few hours i generally give up. You could probably get it working on a virtual machine, yes, but i just can't be arsed to go to all that trouble. I'm hoping GOG will come through eventually.
I guess you can keep it on your list? Weird, I have a 1.5GB gfx card and I can run it at full speed maxed out

Playing the game at 60fps (with the exception of time square which occasionally dips to 30fps).
The below are my screencaps btw:

I don't thnk SMB is flash.
My gaming machine is also my main PC so I tend to go with power sippers. Picked up a 4670 for cheap three years ago, it's a bit hit or miss even on my now venerable monitor. I'm not in any hurry to upgrade, but every time I have to pull the sliders down I feel a bit sad.

So much flickering in that video. It's easy to not notice if all you do is focus on the cars, but there's lots of window/building flickering going on that would drive me mental playing.

Chivalry runs like ass on my computer and looks like ass too.
Saints Row 3 runs fine and looks fine though.

At the moment - I can't play almost all of my games, not counting Fallout 2 and maybe Hitman 47.
Hear from the spirit-world this mystery:
Creation is summed up, O man, in thee;
Angel and demon, man and beast art thou,
Yea, thou art all thou dost appear to be!
I can play all newer games (Some of the newest I have to turn the settings to "High" instead of "Ultra" or whatever, but hey, playing games for the graphics is like watching porn for the story)
The thing that really bugs me is not being able to play older titles without the support of GoG or DoSbox (Not mutually exclusive, granted)
I get horrible clipping of both surface textures and entities, unresponsive shooting, a lot of missing sounds, and no music. Quakespasm runs like a dream, though! I feel that the game has much more resemblance to Unreal than to Quake 2 and 4. It's pretty obvious that they went for a completely new franchise with Quake 2.
Edit: Huh, weird. Framerate issues generalised to all of my other games, and went away when I restarted. Must have been some funny stuff going on under the hood.

Well I managed to complete the Story mode in "NFS:The Run" and I realised that the performance issues are the least of my worries...
They had a field day with that one, didn't they?? Let's take a racing game and include...
1 - Quicktime on-foot/combat sections
2 - Nasty memory-test mazes
3 - Helicopters shooting your car (avoid the invisible spotlight)
4 - Other people shooting your car (mostly quicktimed - thank god)
5 - Subway trains which go faster than a race-specced Ford GT40 (no RLY!)
6 - Pot-luck sections where crashing is more down to random 'luck' in traffic (the final section over the bridge is astonishingly twatty for this)
Hellfire...

Vivisector: Best Within.
For some reason I can't get it to run with anything other than software rendering and sound. Makes an already dated game look BLLLLLEGH.
Virtual Pilot 3D™ NEVER NOT SCAM!
King Arthur: The Roleplaying Wargame, because it has the most awful phobia of high framerates.
Messiah, Dungeon keeper 1, I own them on disk but apparently that's not good enough to get access to the latest gog developed patches.
^_^
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way

Don't get your hopes up. I bought Messiah on GOG, and it still has a bug that makes the sound disappear when you go through a certain door. I haven't been able to fix it despite repeated attempts.
So, Messiah can be added to my list as well.
