If there's no specific clause about heavy WAR-machinery you should be fine Jim but you should avoid that farming simulator you love so much! Also, get well!

I may still be loopy (or out of practice), but I'm down for some Wednesday action. (My scheduling might make me show up early/late, however.)

Yes! C-bills need to be earned in preparation for next weeks patch.

    Speaking of which...
    http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/122...e-june-112013/

    For the 18th-
MGs up to 0.1 damage from 0.08 damage.
Flamers up to 0.7 damage from 0.4 damage.
    Buffs to SPL and LPL.

    For whenever-
Streaks target and damage every part of the mech, less CT busting.
Damage to CT internals for passing 150% heat.
Heat penalty for firing several of the same weapons at once (ie over three ppcs, over six MLs)

All that love to the previously worthless weapons is making June 18th look like a good patch. Only thing missing is giving SRMs an actual damage value rather than the placeholder fireworks we currently have. Quickdraw is so reliant on them, it's going to be dead on release otherwise.

The Quickdraw was originally built in 2779 as a competitor to the Rifleman BattleMech.

Obviously the Quickdraw doesn't need SRMs, but ACs and large lasers. It's an anti-air unit at heart.

Come on Tora that single LRM 10 is just as deadly to aircraft as two AC5s and two large lasers.

Variants are out. Looks like the 4G and 4H are both four energy+two missile, and the 4K is six energy+one missile. My guess is between the 4G and 4H one will get a high engine cap and the other will get jump jets. Or maybe a hardpoint difference if we're lucky.

I hope the center torso isn't locked at 4 tubes, I can see them doing something like giving the 4G or 4H two hardpoints in there and only a four tube launcher, like the Jenner.

Visually it looks like the CT-hardpoint only has four tubes, but I've actually never counted on other mechs to see if the represantation on the model coincides with the amount of tubes available in mechlab. But four tubes would be ok, enough space for one SRM4+artemis.

I predict ECM in one of the QKDs. Those antennae-ears beg for it.

    Sneak peek Quickdraw! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7zVabGiAXU
I think the screenshots made the model look a lot worse, it looks great in motion. Now from fashionwarrior to spreadsheet warrior-

QKD 4G is four energy, two missile. Max of seven JJs.
QKD 4H is four energy, three missile. Max of five JJs.
QKD 5K is six energy, one missile. Max of five JJs.

Alas, no ECM. Though we shouldn't even be looking for MORE ways in which the Quickdraw makes the Dragon obsolete. At some point that's just cruel.

Those antenna's make me think that they should say 'EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE'. Not quite sure why, they sure as hell are more mobile then a Dalek.

I wish they'd show the default colour-scheme and not just slap one measly colour on it, apart from that Phranken screenshot they posted. While I do like how it looks, the variety is a bit of a disappointment to be honest. With no ECM the difference between the 4G and 4H is marginal.

Has anybody managed to get ears on the cost of the mechs?

4G gets better twist across the board too. More horizontal and vertical range on the arms and the torso. Plus the 33% arm speed movement quirk.

I like the way the variants turned out. A three missile variant, nothing with two hardpoints in the CT, the variant with one less hardpoint than the others gets more jump jets and the better twist/arm movement.

I don't want it to have ECM to be honest- it should be limited to mechs in a commanding role (DDC) or the scouts and harassers (3L, 3M, 2D). Maybe even used to balance mechs that would otherwise be irredeemably bad (Dragons and Awesomes).

I'm actually quite curious how the Quickdraw is going to work out for you, Jack. At the moment I find them very sluggish and slow in their torso movement. The walking speed is great but it doesn't really shine all that much because the rest of the mech feels a bit awkward in comparison. I'm almost certain it's a similiar situation to the one I had with the Higlander and a bit of time and getting used to the mech will turn it into something worthwhile. Oh and to everyone who's toying with the idea of getting a Quickdraw, do yourselves a favour and buy the 5K first, it is currently priced at just 200k more than the other two variants but it comes with double heat-sinks and ferro-fibrous (which you will have to ditch of course) but the DHS's clock in at 1.5 million and that is not represented in the actual price of 5.7 million at the moment.

I'm putting it off as long as possible, I want SRMs to be an option when I'm in them. For now I get the feeling I would try an energy boating build, or lasers and streaks, get blown away by 4PPC Stalkers for a dozen matches and then give up and run each one with as many PPCs as I could possibly stuff into it. (http://oi41.tinypic.com/2v2faer.jpg)

The Awesome was very similar in hardpoints and that's how it went.

Also not in any rush to get off the Highlanders now-
