I love the TAG laser on my Raven, but switched the NARC beacon to a SSRM2 because people don't help anyway. Maybe in a team fight? Hmm.

I almost know how to play, but still not good enough. It'll take a long time to learn.

Well I'm currently having fun in my 90 kph missile boat Catapult so we could play boats and scouts? Although I might have managed to rustle up an awesome by then.

Also, I've found the way to win matches on Alpine every time.

Stay in your base.

Matchmaking borked and my time ended up with only 6 Vs 8.

We took up defensive positions in cover around the base and waited for the enemy to come to us.

Inevitably they split up because of mech speeds and also had to traverse a lot of open ground.

We lost one of our team, and used all our ammo based weapons up.

Worked a treat.

I'm hoping to be on (although it might be closer to 20:00 UK time). I only have 2 mechs at the mo, a 60kph short-range Hunchie and an 80kph sniper beast Bro'Chet.

Yeah, I think for at least awhile it'd be nifty to run with a group dedicated to moving at 80+. Manuver is king!
