Well, looks like I'll be available after all, plans didn't pan out :-)

Woo and indeed hoo!
Or, if your plans were supposed to be fun, I'm most terribly sorry.
'hands.
Face me.
Jolima - my apologies. I don't think I'll be able to make our game tomorrow morning. Would Sunday morning, around the same time, work for you?
A fourth defeat for my flings against Mr Pier's insufferable high elves. In a new exciting development, I scored a touchdown! I was even leading at half time!
It wasn't to be though, as some delightful elfball made it 1-1, and then a blitz on my drive resulted in 2-1 for mrpier. I then *just* failed with a halfling airways play on turn 16 to tie things up at the end.
Congrats mrpier. Best of luck for your remaining matches.
Oh, and what do people think about +1 strength on a halfling - worth it?
I was really nervous after the first half, but it's the first time I've encountered the super cage of doom (two ordinary treemen, deeproot and morg). In hindsight I could have done a much better job of slowing it down, but it might have cost me more elfs doing so. I don't think a draw would have been an unfair result in this match, but elfs are happy exploiting any opportunity and a blitz is as good as it gets.
So yeah, well played everblue, you had me worried until the end.
While we are involved in our mutual appreciation society, you worked out how to deal with the cage in the end - since I didn't have guard on my trees, morg is the weak link. He doesn't have stand firm and can be outmuscled.
You are pretty unlucky not to have any ST4 or AG5 in that team mrpier - certainly an AG5 leaper would make a mess of even the Super Cage.
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

What about Saturday and Sunday of this weekend?

Take the +ST on the fling. He is still expendable though - the money roll on a fling is +AG
When I had my flings in the stunty league, I think I went with sure hands and strip ball as my two doubles choices. As it's possible to throw a fling anywhere, and they dodge anywhere on a 3+, strip ball is a nice tool to have. Strength just boosts them up to 3 and, I dunno, are you going to get much out of that? The flings aren't generally blocking and he can't hold the line because of the paper armour.
DAUNTLESS
then the little bugger can* block ogres
*or fail the dauntless roll and get splatted.
Hey Corkir, what's your steam name - can't find you.
