The advent calendar with the best games of 2012 is a good idea. For the sake of usability and navigation I suggest you add the game name to the title and a picture from the game to the excerpt.

I understand that metaphor. It goes against quick navigation however. If you for example want to have a look at the whole calendar at a glance, you must open all articles.
Make a thread like you did here and update it with links as each day comes.

I think they should keep a running tally of all the games listed at the bottom or put them in the final post. It's a pain in the ass to read through. I agree with the don't show it in the title or picture idea though.
I enjoy trying to guess what the game is from just the bit of teaser text.
They usually do have a list of all the games in a final post.
I would like to know what they tag this as? I wanted to find the round up of advent calenders from previous years but only came across 2007. (Although, looking at the list of amazing games that came out that year kind of makes 2012 seem fairly crap).
