I am simultaneously saddened that the mighty Zod is no more, irked that I didn't manage to kill him myself despite my best efforts, and pleased that all I have to do is avoid losing to Eard in order to get promoted. I don't have enough tackle to reliably deal with skinks but I've got some claw to hopefully deal with the bigger lizards- but they'll have a major speed advantage and about 700 inducements. It's going to be interesting.

Ah, shit, Groovy. Sorry about Zod.

As for what we do on security, Jolima's web app is simultaneous hugely impressive and at the same time dauntingly technical. Despite my whining above I think the easiest thing to do would be to put a password on the spreadsheet and change it every season. If the vandalism continues then we know that one of the league coaches is responsible and we can take further action.

New joiners can post in the thread and an existing league coach can add them to the spreadsheet.

Looking at Google's security options, I don't think we can do that - we'd need to make it require a Google sign in.

How secure are the rollback options? As long as no one can remove them and it updates itself often enough it seems repair may be the least intrusive option, especially as our unknown vandal must surely get bored. Two instances over the years isn't really much to justify taking Jol's time needlessly.

I m with Prez on the Khorne issue. They don't strike me as being particularly unbalanced (although I haven't gotten my green fingers on them), but I am not particularly keen in seeing teams which are not in the tabletop version creep here, especially as odd a choice as one of the chaos deities (why not all four then?).

Khorne just has some stuff that just is silly like P access on linemen. Throw them in the bin or treasure them always I will hunt them down for being cheese though, not a bad as Orcs though.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way

These go to Eleven 1 - 1 Altdorf Army

In a classic crazy, typically Altdorfian match the Army head into hiatus for a season. We'll treasure the High Elf Blitzer Face Plant into the endzone rather than scoring.

I'll be back in a month.

What do I need to do to the spreadsheet again to indicate I'm leaving for next season?

I guess I'm in the minority having never played the tabletop nor any other form of bloodbowl. Or warhammer, or whatever mythos blood bowl is based upon.

So is this going to go to a vote or are we going to change PW's username to Dictator Weasel ;)

Personally I vote no on the Khorne thing.

Division N: St Claverts Old Folks (Walrusfacee) 3-1 Edie's Eviscerators (Ethelred Unread)

Pretty brutal match that turned out far better than I expected. Pouring rain, but I've come to the conclusion my ghouls can only pick up the ball with some kind of penalty so that worked in my favour. Not much to say about the first touchdown, but a blitz on Ethelred's drive let me shove ghouls through his lines and mark most of his players with my wights and mummies. I manage to blitz a player onto the ball and sure enough it scatters to a spot where I can grab it and run it home.
Think it's about this time that I get a lesson in what AV7, no regeneration and no apothecary really means as one of my ghouls dies (for reals, yo). Still, 2-0 up as the second half starts.

But you can't have it all your own way, and with 4 players sitting this half out I struggle (and fail) to stop a handoff that puts it at 2-1 after 2 turns. It's at this point that Nuffle starts doing Ian McKellen impersonations, as the Elves definitely SHALL NOT PASS. Two fumbled passes leave me in possession again, and my ghouls definitely can and do both pass and catch, sealing my first DoD win, and second total.

    Thanks for the game Ethelred!

To be fair I only have two mightyblowblockclawmurdermans.

Unfortunately one of them is a beast of nurgle. He did for Zod. Apologies Groovy. Although he can have significant grievance with his Apothecary there...

I am equally getting frustrated by my team, three draws this season and a worrying propensity to fail to hang on to decent players. This isn't the team that pushed hard in the championship a few seasons ago.

Not quite sure I can quite bring myself to bin them though. At 2150 TV, I'd never be able to rejoin a league with them again.

It was a real edge of the seat second half - both fumbles were to get the ball up to my unmarked blitzer to score quickly so I could try for a win, but poor marking allowed The Walrus to collect and switch sides with the end result of 3-1.

Great last game of the season, leaves me well and truly in the depths of the bottom tier!

Onwards and upwards though so here's to finally being able to afford a witch elf and eventually some re-rolls.

Yeah, pretty much the only thing that is keeping me playing the shattered shell of the Altdorf Army is the specific sunset clause I've given them - I owe it to the surviving originals to keep pluging away. Wulf will see the Champs division. That I promise.

After 50-something games there are only two original players left for my Necro's, one of whom is -MA (though the star wolf was bought only a few matches in so that's nearly the same). What's surprised me is how resilient the side's been with half its positionals being more or less rookies. Fresh ghouls are a perpetual pain in the ass to do anything with, but generally speaking the team's just about holding together. Guess it comes down to how the race performs at different TV levels - Nurgle and Humans really benefit from All the Skills, but I've found Necro to be most effective around the 1700TV mark.

Humans are actually best at low TV levels, get Guard on all the Blitzers and the Ogre, which is only another 100 TV, smatter some tackle, kick and accurate on linemen and thrower and the Humans' wealth of reroll skills on the positionals gives a really good team at 1200 TV.

My problem for the Army is that 550 points of TV are tied up in 3 players. So I'm incredibly vulnerable to an of them being injured, passed them there's a couple of +AG Catchers and then it's all rookies.

I've only played humans a bit so I bow to your experience. With humans being such generalists I found it easiest to build them into a team of mini-specialists, which took a few skills on each of them. I never found myself thinking "I wish Bob the Doomed" had fewer skills either, there was always something useful they could take that helped them on the field.

I sympathise on the key players thing, I've got one level 6, two level 5, two level 4 (a zombie I'd drop if I had enough skills elsewhere and a wolf with -AV who's either going to die or get sacked once the rest of the team is strong enough) and that's it - everything else is level 2 or rookie. An 1800+ TV team with one stat up, no doubles and only 7 players with block, 2 of whim I'd fire if I could, is an odd thing.
