I have a fairly wide range of minimally-moderately developed teams that could fill in if needed.

Div 1: Dread Pool (DElf) vs Medical Drama (Nur)
Pretty much the perfect outing for me, as Heliocentric's efforts were undone by a noted lack of Tacklers and an preponderance of Defender Stumbles results. I got a comfortable 2-0 lead in the second half and even Helio's finest fouls couldn't dent me at that point. Probably wasn't the funnest of games for him.
Final Score: 2-0 to the Pool.

It wasn't frustrating. I had lots of pitch control and I suppressed a lot of elfy bustardry, issue was that injury rolls, knockout recovery results, armour rolls and block dice conspired to keep 11 DElves on to pitch at the start of each drive despite all the blocks my mobility (<3 jump up) had afforded me. One frustrating aspect was elegantly arranged 6 man fouls stunning elves.

Righto all applied.
Gorm's Skaven team has 4 superstars, that hardly seems fair - and an AG5 abomination, this is why I got multiblock on the assassin!

After losing yet another Wight to Frenz0rz in our game last night my Necro team is starting to face the possibility of bankruptcy. This has got me thinking that since it may be time to retire the foulers and re-roll a fresh team. So far the two teams I'm leaning towards are Elves, as they are currently not represented in the DoD and I originally played with them way back when I first joined. The second option is Lizards as I've yet to play them and I quite fancy all that strength while still having annoying fast players.
So what are people's thoughts? Pro's and cons of picking each team? Any tips or advice for either team? Or maybe even a secret option C team I'm not currently thinking about.

Developmentally, Elves (Pro Elves to their friends) are diametrically opposite to Lizard Gits. Lizards are split between carriers and fighters, Elves are homogeneous. Lizards are dependent on good rolls for great players, Elves end up with great players by default. Lizards practically have 7 'Big Guys', Elves will always be St3 outside of stat freaks.
One thing both sides share is awkward finances, a few deaths and the gold might not cover the outgoings. Still, a journeyman skink is pretty much a skink.

Elves are really good but you know that. Always capable of making something happen. I've got a particular soft spot for lizards, what with Taking The Biscuit's 100+ games on FUMBBL.
It's quite a refreshing way to play compared with conservative no-risk bashing - you'll be forced into suicidal plays on those occasions when injuries reduce you to three saurus and a skink. Best thing ever when they work - and the hypermobility of skinks means there's always a chance. Best advice is to attempt saurus pickups as often as you can risk it safely, and mix their starting skills up - you need break tackle for blitzing, you need a mighty blow hitter, you'll need some guard, you'll need tackle. They've got to specialise.
You'll get the occasional game where you get destroyed, but hey there's always entirely disposable move-anyway journeyman skinks. Oh, and save the apo for a saurus. Always. I don't care if that skink is a statfreak, it's disposable.

I'm new to them, but enjoying lizards so far. I'd love to play an agility team, especially for the passing, but they're all so crap at fighting that I get too frustrated and a little bored. I like bashing, but caging is so boring and cynical.
Lizards can't pass, but the crazy speed and good dodging and agility access of the skinks is a plus. Sauruseses are strong and clumsy, but they're not slow and they have general access. Between them they give me that hint of agility/movement backed with enough bash to create opportunities (and bodies). It's a promising mix, even if passing is out of the question they have more options than a typical bash team, and can make more room to breathe than typical agility teams.
Got to protect them skinks though, and keep your saurusesesi focussed on worthwhile targets - don't get bogged down going toe to toe with linemen, it's a net loss even if you knock them over a lot.
Also don't forget the skinks can fight too if need be. It's risky, but I've seen skinks take down an ogre (my one, the little shits). They are probably the best 'roaming assist' players in the game - gutter runners might be faster, but they're much less disposable too.

Undeads are a little bit of everything, and my team even more so. You've got the blocking power of the mummies, the mobility of the ghouls, the blitzing and general spp-hogging handled by the wights, and then the zombies just try and make life awkward for the opposition. Add to that my Mv+ Ag + wight Thorgrim the Conqueror (say my name!) and you have, in my mind, a perfectly balanced team, fit to react to any gameplay style. At least until the bindings in their joints give out.
