I just noticed that while the campaign countdown clock to super special secret forum launch (is that right? I don't even know) says 26 days, the end date for the campaign as listed on investedin is Dec 1 2013. Fear not Black Isle fans, they're willing to take your money all year.
I shouldn't even be paying attention to this anymore, but the updates are pretty entertaining. Mysteriously, the text cannot be highlighted for copying. I guess that means their updates are just too premium to share around, or that they took a look at all that transparency on Kickstarter and decided opacity was a better fit for their needs.
It's Indiegogo; unlike Kickstarter, the funding is received whether the desired amount is reached or not.
If you read the details, they only need 600k to be the majority shareholder (owning 50% plus on of the shares) if all shares are sold on at current prices. 1.2mil will allow them to offer twice the price of the current share value (which makes it more attractive for holders to sell their shares).
This is based off of guess work as to who actually owns the shares & whether the share price is any decent indicator of actual value; Interplay have stopped filing proper accounts for the best part of this year...

I still don't think they actually want any money, just a chortle-worthy joke to run alongside and shame the PV13 campaign for its duration.
Oh look the kickstarter concept being fucked up the ass, noone saw that one coming, right guys?
...
I give it a year until the term crowdsourcing has lost all credibility.
You can find scams on eBay, stop using it guys!
It´s BI only in name, this whole deal sounds a lot like a scam to me.
