I'd love to play Theme Hospital or Grim Fandango again, the Star wars x-wing and tie fighter games were pretty good too.

Well, there's something good coming in regards to Grim Fandago and Escape from Monkey Island: ResidualVM. Basically like ScummVM.

Screamer Rally would be lovely. I can't get the sound to work on my DOSBOX version downloaded from the darkest depths of the internet due to absolutely no availability.

Ah yes, it was actually developed by Akella. I can find it on a few torrents but apparently it doesn't play all that well on Windows 7/8.

Sid Meier's Gettysburg. I'm pretty sure it's Firaxis' first game. Played it all the time when I was younger, but now it's nowhere to be found. Also Age of Empires 2 for digital download.

I second those! NOLF 1+2 are still the best shooters out there. Such a shame the series wasn't continued...

    I'd add to that list:

    - Ignition (best racing game ever!)
    - Archimedean Dynasty (best atmosphere ever!)
    - Battlezone (best concept ever!)
    - Tie Fighter (Best music ever!)

Obscure enough for Steam and GoG.

CD copies are available brand new on both Amazon and Amazon UK right now, although it's cheaper on the latter. Takes some fiddling to get it to actually load up, but once you do there are usually no further problems.

The modern equivalent of Ultima Underworld? I'd call it obscure, but it is avaliable on Steam and GoG.

I wrote to GOG about Severance,if they plan to bring the game to their site and they replied back, cool people.

I'm afraid that I can't comment on any upcoming deals and releases (or lack thereof). I can only assure you that we're doing everything possible to get our hands on the best good games, both old and new.Unfortunately the process can be very complicated. There are many variables to take into account when trying to secure distribution rights from a publisher or developer, and it's not always possible to come to a compromise that satisfies all parties. This is especially true for GOG, as we want to uphold our core values (like no copy protection, or one world – one price), which do not always fit well into how the industry generally works. It gets even more complex with old games, whose rights are often in a state of “legal limbo”.
Check out this Q/A video, featuring one of my superiors - Marcin Iwinski, for a first-hand view of how it works:

Finally, please stay tuned and check out our news page every week for new release info.

If you manage to get a retail version, use nGlide to run it on modern systems. I used it on Rayman 2 and it really improved the graphics. Since I got it, it's on the top of my backlog.
Steam(shots), Imgur, Bak'laag, why do you forsake me?

Gex. Sidescroller that had you walking on walls and slurping tv remotes with a too-cool-for-school gecko.
Bug! & Bug Too! 3D game that had some mind-bending (at the time, for my impressionable young mind) platforming.
Bedlam This one was crazy fun. So much gore and frenzy action.
The Magic School Bus Explores the Solar System *ducks* I know, I know. But I had a demo version and I loved it at the time.
EDIT: Also, 3D Ultra Pinball The Lost Continent This one was a birthday gift from my uncle. I wasn't too keen on pinball games back then (though Space Cadet was a fine time waster) but this turned me around. You had to smack dinos with the balls to keep them away from a handful of survivors as they made their way through the table.

The game runs just fine on Win7 with full widescreen support.
