@Scott, nope! Looks like you hold the item you want to repair in your hand, make sure you have the right material in your inventory, then type "/repair" and voila!

Does anyone know of a tool that allows you to restore specific chunks from backups? It's not as easy now that Minecraft uses the McRegion file format. I'm about to write a tool, but if one exists already that would be grand.

Heres how i've done it in the past.
1. Load the backup in mcedit and export a schematic
2. Put the schematic in /Schematics in the server folder
3. Use world edit to //import and //paste
4. Paste it in the wrong spot, //undo and try again (repeat as needed)

@Scott, nope! Looks like you hold the item you want to repair in your hand, make sure you have the right material in your inventory, then type "/repair" and voila!

Also, /rep works. And if you would like to check what the repair will "cost" you can type /rep ? (make sure you remember the space between rep and the ? or it won't do a thing)

Helmets seem to be bugged, sometimes it wants 9 iron/leather/whatever to repair. In the main everything else seems to be reasonable.

So just got my code for Minecraft (hooray for the 2for1 deal), and want to try out the RPS server. Who do I need to contact in order to get whitelisted?

Should be enough to post on this thread, asking for being whitelisted.
But seeing as Elt is away over the weekend and there was trouble with whitelisting made by mods, it could take a while.

Thanks! I'm already impressed with what I'm seeing, how long has the uRPS server been persistent? Does anyone ever use the official server (I couldn't connect when I tried)?

The uRPS Minecraft community is roughly a year old. MtotheThird started up the original uRPS server sometime last Summer if memory serves. I myself joined as a total n00b mid-September last year. Sadly, that server died a week before the Halloween Update was released, and we've not heard from M3 since. We chased our tails for that week until Thurzday hosted a new map for us on a home computer once the Halloween update was released. Shortly after that, Jonbas set up a server with our current hosting service (beginning of November), moved the new map there and have remained ever since.

The 2 original official servers closed up a long time ago and the 3rd one I've not been to in ages, so don't know anything about that one.
