Any change we could get the NoLagg mod (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/nolagg/?page=8) thrown into the server? It's got some random server-lag-removery-features, but what I'm interested in is the chunk loading optimization (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/no...nolagg-chunks/) - it attempts to load chunks in front of the player first, since if you're that close to an unloaded chunk, you're probably walking forwards. I used it on a three-person server for a while and it did seem to improve things, I absolve myself of blame if adding it to uRPS breaks everything though.
