HARDWARE: Shipbreakers - R & P Salvage

Okay! So I reailze that we're probably like four to six months away from being able to play, but I am a maniac, and I purchased VIP Package #3!

Therefore I feel like it is my HOLY DUTY to start organizing people who, like me, ARE MANIACS WHO WANT THIS GAME TO BE THE BEST THING EVER.

Also, feel free to tell me what other names for the group I SHOULD have used. (I have gone with R & P Salvage since it should somewhat fit in with the in-game fiction. Other possibilities I considered included Rock Paper Shipbreaker, and Rock Paper Sand.)

I would have gone with RP Shipbreakers as it keeps the 'in-character' corporation feel but does not force my stupid brain to pronounce it "R kaufmännisches Und P Shipbreakers" in my mind.

I'm definitely pinning for this, but other than fantastic artwork, a great concept and a strong pedigree, I'm not excited yet... but I am hopeful this will be totally amazing. I mean, it has to be, right?

I have read some disturbing rumours that this will be multiplayer only, is this correct?

F2P, definitely multiplayer to some degree, beyond that we won't know for sure till E3 or mid Juillet.

I really dislike that video. Obviously the flyers, but that should be fixed. But also i have some atmosphere issues with it. For example the baserunners cockpit loos wierd for a machine of that size. But what annoys me the most is the end. The rest of the vid has a good vibe of a small scale unit of mercenaries or salvagers looking for richies in the wild. But then the apparently manned aircraft get slaughtered and the commander sounds almost bored when he says 'So much for easy money.' Sounds like loosing friends or colleagues and expensive equipment means very little to him despite that beeing a substantial part of his whole operation.

That would be my guess, or maybe even more remote a location for the 'pilots'. If so then I'm interested to see where this goes, maybe towards structures that limit what you can build, like air control centres and the more that gets upgraded from the materials you find/sell the more drones you can accomodate.

I highly doubt they are in the baserunner. He says 'passing your position' when flying above the baserunner. That would be a kinda wierd thing to say if it was also their position.

There's something about the teasers and concept art for this game that is beautiful and compelling. I love everything about them, right down to the choice of font for the titles.

I'm disappointed that it's apparently F2P and even more disappointed that there's no mention of single player.

But I really want to play it.

I also recovered my copy of Homeworld 1 from the loft too.
