Nvidia RGB HDMI issue

This isn't a question or help request, just wondering how many people know of or have experience with the whole issue of nvidia cards being fixed at Limited RGB rather than Full when being connected to the screen via the HDMI port?

This is something I'd never heard of until today when a new monitor arrived and this review - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/aoc_i2757fm.htm (under the section "Default Performance and Setup") - brought it to my attention.

Again, I didn't know anything about this until a few hours ago so am merely curious. Personally I'm not a visual guy who worries about deep blacks and stark whites, but I'll be giving this a go as soon as I'm in a position to restart my PC just in case.
Also, sorry if this has been brought up many times but various searches turned up nothing.

Not sure what this is about but I will share what I know about this.

There is a Full/Limited RGB toggle in the nvidia control panel settings but only in the Video settings tab. My workaround to that is quite simple: set the RGB range relevant to your display in the video settings tab, switch over to the Adjust Desktop Color Settings screen, and set the option labelled "Content type reported to the display:" as "Full-screen videos".
Voila! You have control of the RGB colour range for your display.

I was at a friend's house a while ago and tried this on his system (he has a gtx670). For some strange reason it didn't help at all, white balance was strange and everything was dull. I decided randomly o switch from RGB to YCbCr444, and everything magically looked great. Turns out his Samsung LED TV was not an RGB display. Doh!
