on topic of finding your way around, and describing it:

its not that hard, you just need base it on something everyone can see, like a platoon or squad wp or objective. worst case, use wind directions.
I find myself describing that way a lot. "the southmost building" or the "building just east of A" also, at some outposts only one building has 2 storeys. stuff like that. you can always use up, left down right instead of NESW.

fuck complicated systems youd have to learn when youve been learning in school how to acurately describe stuff years ago.

There's a problem with left and right, though, and that is frame of reference. Up and down are usually pretty clear, but left/right really depends on your heading. Unless you're talking very small scale things, like "MAX on the right hand side of this door!"

Other than that I agree on describing the locations of things. Easy enough, once people get used to the need to use absolute terms, rather than relative.

They actually look pretty sweet. Finally another VS helmet that looks a bit wierd! However, still not happy about the TR continuing to get all the best shit. They are seriously turning into PS2's WoW:TBC era Warlocks.

Just noticed in the second link, to the models, that the entire NC helmet's faceplate, including the visor, seems to swing up to expose the face. Looks pretty badass actually.

Issue, SOE don't know, how to make mean faces, only grumpy ones.

The VS one is finally something what I would expect future helmets to look like. Either have a complete visor with feeds you HUD data like an overlay, or no screen/visor at all where everything is diplayed of the inside of the closed helmet using cameras.

    I'd love a non-visored helmet.

that, as youd expect, is a trademarked helmet design, and if they put that in, shit is going down, son.

Of course, but they keep alluding to similar things and totally missing what makes the designs interesting.
