Yeah I'd like to see the drawback/boost thing with these too e.g. increased radar range for a reduced movement foot speed or some such.

Good news! They appear to be pretty good at listening to their player base.

A while back this suggestion for implants was posted on Reddit. It is an implant tree with some nice variety and interesting trade-offs. Looking at the way the game works currently, I don't see this ever happening, but it would be pretty damn cool to have.

Nothing in the game really feels like a sidegrade if I'm honest. My Scythe has Dogfighting 3 - what's the downside? None. Why should I consider going chasisless? I shouldn't.

Buying different guns is the closest to sidegrades, but they don't have much of a downside apart from being situational. The implants as suggested were upgrades, end of.

What worked great in PS1 was that XP just gave you more options and variations. This is what I'd like to see continue here. As for implants, they should have some sort of usage cost. I.E. What if enabling an implant (i.e. equipping, then turning it on) drained infantry resources? Or as suggested, they had a drawback (hiding you from sensors disables yours as well)? I'll be interested to see how they approach this with hindsight...

Good news. Although it baffles me that they thought this would be a good idea in the first place...

The re-cert will absolutely, 100% cost SC anything else would be utterly retarded from SoEs perspective.

I do not believe that anyone has claimed that cert upgrades should be anything but strict upgrades, though. It's the stuff you can unlock for SC that's supposed to be sidegrades, though, to be fair, that is not true of quite a lot of that stuff.

Apparently the recommended server per faction thing really works!

Well, assuming the system is dynamic, it should sort itself out. There's no glaringly huge gaps in size though.

It does seem to fluctuate between factions on a daily basis. In any case, since it's new players making up the population shift, I'm sure it's not gonna have as big an impact as the sustained TR pop domination did.

Since the TR population was inflated for months, they will have an advantage of a higher percentage of experienced and certed players for at least a couple of months more.

On a side note: The receiver of the referral gets a free SVA-88. Not too shabby.
