Hopefully we get some of these: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-games-of-2013

Only 82%? Outrageous! The responsible reviewer should be fired!
A lot of excellent Kickstarter games will be released. There may be some other things happening this year but I don't care because I'll be too busy playing excellent Kickstarter games. Unless they're all terrible, in which case I at least have something to talk about.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way

George Lucas buys Apple, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, makes new gaming console where you must have conversations with Jar-Jar Binks if you want to play a game.

Peter Molyneux will launch a new project that he describes as "life-changing" and "a never-before seen innovation". The Kickstarter will aim at a round sum of a trillion dollars, which will be met in six days. RPS will cover the development twice every week during the next eighteen months, even though no-one ever sees any actual gameplay or working software. The project is delayed by twice the original estimated development time. In the end it turns out to be a black-and-white Tetris clone with three levels. The gaming press goes into overdrive for the next nine months, debating the cultural meaning and psycho-social interpretations of the game.
A bunch (maybe even more than half!) of those Kickstarter games that were supposed to be out in 2013 won't be.
We're not going to see hide nor hair of Star Citizen or Notch's unpronounceable game.
I predict the big publishers push into Free to Play will yield drastically reduced revenue than what is expected as too many free to play games battle for attention.
I predict big publishers to actually start pushing free post-release content rather than thinking of obtrusive DRM or Online Passes in a more valid and acceptable attempt to reduce second hand sales.
I predict store specific pre-order bonus' will feature even more heavily this year.
I predict Blizzard will finally announce details of their next upcoming mega-blockbuster. Gaming press will go nuts, many gamers simply won't care, other gamers will simply use it as an excuse to complain about World of Warcraft, it requiring an always online connection, Diablo III errors and a few (read: still millions of) gamers will think "Oooh, looks good, hope they pull it off."
I'll finish the year with more games than I really have time to play.

I noticed even you couldn't believe they gave ME3 their GoTY award Shooop. I disagree with your assessment that RPS is the only place left for good reviews though (I'm not even sure whether I agree with that in truth, John seems to go out of his way to shit on anything EA with relish at any given opprtunity). I'd say GiantBomb probably is where you'll get the most level opinions on a game overall these days.

So convinced is my friend that the Steambox will be released in 2013, that it will ship with Half Life 3 as an exclusive on it and will be available for less than £100 (He reckons about £75 and that Valve will sell it at a loss to get it in front of TV's and compete with the console market) that he's bet me a tenner on it all happening.
Any early thoughts on how I should spend that tenner?

If I can grab all of that for less than £100 I'll gladly hand over an extra tenner to pay for his smug :)
