... I take the lives of a few to protect the lives of many. I commit acts of war to preserve the greater peace. I take no joy in killing, but make no mistake; I'll do what needs to be done. Because it's my job. It's my duty. My name is Sam Fisher, and I am a Splinter Cell.
While definitely obscene as crap, isn't this just the microtransactions we always knew would happen?
Also: The only one that sounds content-related is "First Contact Pack" which is free. The Online Pass will (probably) just be the "Project 10 dollars" that only affects people who buy it second-hand.
But, you know, its EA so let's villify them.
Steam: Gundato
PSN: Gundato
If you want me on either service, I suggest PMing me here first to let me know who you are.
Bot capacity
Bot accelerator...
Is it me or are they practically selling cheat codes with those two? Cheat codes that don't even do cool shit but just upgrade your shit marginally...
steam
http://dailycelluloid.blogspot.com/- where I write about movies.
They will keep doing this because people will keep paying for it. If it wasn't profitable they wouldn't have done it. Sad but true.
Enemies of gaming, as far as the eye can see.
Irrelevant on further examination of the rest of the thread.
No, the microtransactions (that is, stuff that you can buy more than once) seem to be these three:
- Epic Weapon & Resource Pack - $2.99
- Ultra Weapon & Resource Pack - $1.99
- Resource Pack - $0.99
This is almost exactly the system that's used by Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer. So that still leaves 8 other Day-1 DLC packs (7 paid), which is a bit silly.
Loved ds1&2, skipping this one because they will willfully piss about with the balance and grinding to make the "dlc" more attractive. Nope, EA you just lost money from me.
I'm failing to writing a blog, specifically about playing games the wrong way

And because it'll sell, it's obviously what the people want.
Welcome to AAA gaming's future everyone.
Virtual Pilot 3D™ NEVER NOT SCAM!
I'm beginning to feel less bad about being behind on games (barely 1/3rd way through Dishonored).
I still have to finish DS1 and DS2. By the time I get around to DS3 I can pick up the GOTY in a sale. The future of gaming is being slightly in the past.
Yep when the emphasis of game production changes from making a good game to making a vehicle for extracting as much money as possible from customers.
Theres only one defence, don't buy.
