It has Combichrist in its soundtrack. I'm not touching it.

At least it doesn't look good enough for me to overlook Combichrist.

    played a few hours

    runs decently (Unreal Engine...)
    controller works well
    doesn't crash
easy actually seems easy, so I play on normal and it seems ok
supports windowed mode & tabbing out

I'm fighting the camera too much, but that's pretty common in these type of games

I don't think the action is amazing, but it should be fine for casual play.

This isn't some strategy game that needs uber AI where you are supposed to optimize your play. You're just supposed to kill things and look cool doing it :)

Can't you just turn down the music volume then?

Anyways, Made a beginning yesterday and really liked it, it looks gorgeous in all its full HD glory and HD textures, combat is fluent and neither the combat and cutscenes have the framerate issue the console version suffered from.

The game had been out for weeks and my friends were playing it, laughing at me, "you need to wait, PC boy? Haha~"

So what's does the hive mind think about this Capcom's brilliant business idea?

It was worth the one week wait.

Hating Combichrist? You sir, are a swine and not my bretheren. I wish that your knee will be sore for the next few days.

Anyhow, what little I tested the demo on X360 it seemed rather good. Much more intuitive than Metal Gear Rising, but then again, I've never been a big fan of hack and slashers (except Ninja Gaiden Black).

Have to agree with my Russian fella, this is abysmal.

Though I guess it is a fitting accompaniment to filler platforming interspersed with trivial combat.

I thought this was supposed to be punk rock Dante? Where's the three chord band splaying?

Finished it, took around 8 hours.
I really enjoyed it, that said its not much like a DmC game. I am a big DMC fan but if you just treat is an action game it has gorgeous visuals, a dumb(good dumb most often) story and some fun combat.
    The port is also outstanding.

So... how do DMC 1 , 3 and 4 not fit that description?

It also features Noisia and Alex Garland is credited as story supervisor. I love it!

Good observations. DMC is excellent I think. Overall, the game is another demonstration that today's games can be good expressions of art. I like the story most of all though. While killing seems to be the main thing here, DMC is also about the art of how to kill.
Graphics-wise, DMC is not that bad. It's still has areas for improvement but they can be ignored for now by how terrific the scenes are.
Critics and fans give the game a pretty much above average rating. A good review from Gamearena is an example.
I'm still in the process of finishing the entire story but i enjoy wasting my time by simply immersing myself in the game. It's surely a good way to waste one's time.
