okay so I have a KFA II 450 GTS sli with two screens, one a VGA and one a DVI and I was just wondering if it's really worth jumping up to one of these as or would say a 650ti/660 be a better option as they are similar money? this is mainly to gear up to getting far cry 3 looking nice and for bioshock infinite to look pretty too.
system specs: i5 2500k at 4.4 Ghz, MSI-GD55-p67 motherboard, corsair 8 gig XMS3 ram and a 600 or 650 Wattage PSU I can't quite remember.

Two GTS 450s give similar performance to a single GTX 470. So a GTX 570 is going to be faster, but not a huge upgrade either. The GTX 660 is faster still, so that would be a good upgrade. Of course, if you want to play Far Cry 3 at high resolutions and settings, you may be forced to spend more. Even a GTX 670 only get a bit more than 30 FPS at 1080p Ultra.
mmhm, That is interesting, It's just right now money is a bit tight and that I know that the 6XX cards are all PCI-E 3 so that means I'll need a need Mobo to use the card to it's full potential. but it was more the fact that it's only £150 rather than having to spend something like £300~ on a 660ti/670 then having to spend another £100~ on a motherboard that had PCI-E 3 slots.

Don't worry about PCIe 3.0, it's unnecessary. No single-GPU card on the market benefits appreciably from more bandwidth than PCIe 2.0 x16 offers. Even the difference between PCIe 2.0 x16 and x8 is quite small.
So you think that I should wait till the 7XX comes out and by a 670/680 then?

I don't know. A GTX 660 would be a pretty good upgrade now. And I'm not sure the 600 series is really going to get much cheaper, even after the 700 series is launched.
