    Been watching Attack on Titan recently (I'm poor at timing bandwagon jumps). For those not in the know, it has one of the most mental, over the top intro themes of recent memory (could be just that I don't watch enough anime to be desensitised). It's great fun.

    Overindulged in nanites? Chillout with some bleepy melodies from the back room at a Vanu rave:

    Wow, Ultimae is my favourite label as well for five years now! I'm a fan of Carbon Based Lifeforms and Solar Fields in particular. :)

    Awesome, you're maybe the 2nd person ever who's known the label before me starting to bang on about how great it is...

    More goodness in this vein here http://theasc.blogspot.fr/p/deep-space-mix-series.html

    Very nice series of 25 hour long deep / ambient / dub techno mixes, have found some amazing new artists from the tracklistings on these. Although working out where one track ends and the next begins to find the name can be a challenge!

    Some inspiration for aggressive play;

    This track is 17 years old and still has, imho, possibly the greatest ever breakdown >>> drop in electronic music:

    In my younger day, if this came on at a drinking and dancing establishment, that breakdown was the closest to a psychadelic experience I could get without doing any drugs at all. And given that those drinking and dancing establishments were rock bars, it also demonstrates how much cross-culture appeal The Progidy had.

    Great call.

    For some reason my brother had Fat of the Land on cassette when we were like 13. Probably responsible for corrupting my young mind into a love of jungle, drum n bass and not giving a fuck dancing.

    Nice. And the visualiser is lovely!

    Now I'm pretty sure it will have been linked to before, but They Might Be Giants released an album ages ago of amazing songs about science called Science Is Real, which then had a load of amazing animations put to them making a critical mass of explosive excellence. Every song is an absolute corker, but I particularly like these two about the sun: Why Does the Sun Shine? and the follow up which corrects some mistakes made in the first, Why Does the Sun Really Shine?

    For science!

    Here's a song dedicated to the MergerSmash. Raise the armies, bring the Warmachines. I appreciate that not everyone has my patience for long instrumental rock songs, but even if you're clicking through it, the song is worth listening to.

    I discovered this yesterday thanks to Ubisoft

    I've listened to it a few times through now and it keeps on getting better and better.

    This is really nice. Sort of zoned out the first time I was listening to it in the background, then it kept shifting and drawing my attention back in. What's the Ubisoft connection?

    Yeah, that soundtrack is pretty damn good as a whole.

    Skip to about 45 seconds to avoid the obnoxiously long precredit stuff
