Nice. I do wish that all boosts ran for playing time, rather than calendar time, however. It becomes a very stressful pressure for me, knowing that there's a boost that I've paid omeny for going to waste if I should decide to do something other than play Planetside for an evening or a weekend...
And, yes; you can decide when to activate the boosts, and I believe you can buy several and keep for future use.
Yeah, I just bought two, so you can buy more than one and select when to use them.

Actually, do these boost cert gain as well as xp?

I usually buy a day long one for Thursday nights, but given the price here I'll stock up on some of these.
I actually have a squad one I wanted to use on last thursday, but I forgot about it. Next time, gadget.

Absolutely this, it's hard enough to quit playing some times as it is!
It's a shame these are locked to the character. Forces you to play just one of them for a week.
