This is now the universal PC port rumour thread, right?
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen shows up on GameStop DE, Capcpom exec says "I wish that were true. Alas, nothing happening on that front at the moment. I'm STILL having conversations with Kobayashi about making that happen to this day (as recently as two days ago in fact)."

But that's the thing, it's not driver support per se, it's CrossFire support. They've given the game a CrossFire profile.
Only plausible reason to give a console game like Halo3 a CrossFire profile is because someone asked AMD to do it.

I don't necessarily think that is as much as an important note as the fact it exists, but yes, that is true. From the leaks and rumours about the next Xbox, it seems to be a very similar set-up to the PS4 and seemingly not support with any sort of dual-card set-up.

Also, Ms. Splosion Man is coming out soon, finally. I don't know if I still have any significant interest in it, but it looked like an intriguing platformer. It's been confirmed for coming out on the PC/Steam for ages, been in the database for almost as long, but not much really happened with it. Still, it's coming.

My wild guess: XBOX 720 is going to use Steam and this is them adding entries to it.
Probability of wild guess: Near zero

Well there are numerous suggestions that the next Xbox will use a form of Win8. That, I think, is one of the more believable elements out of all the rumours that have come out of the pre-release talking. Will it run Steam though? It's possible, I suppose and with controller support in Big Picture mode, it's not utterly inconceivable, but I don't think that's the direction Microsoft want to take the Xbox in. They see it as more of a family entertainment system than as a games console now, for better or worse.

It might just be a port that got cancelled. The glass is always half-empty.

Yeah, it is actually really logical and would help MS dominate Sony (they would basically get every PC gamer who realizes that consoles are MUCH cheaper and more hassle-free than PCs), I doubt MS wants to partner with Valve to that degree. Especially with Gabe Newell persistently pushing Linux as a viable alternative.

So much for our dreams of pre-historic stone age combat. Oh well.

This is not Steam per-se, but this is the rumour mill thread, so I'm posting it here. GOG is hiring QT and QML engineers, which might indicate a move for Linux, or at least Ubuntu. Or it has nothing to do with anything.
DosBOX works on Linux, and even Wine is successful for some old windows games, so this has potential. Or maybe not.

^Damn. I remember playing one of those Illusion games on the Game Gear, in between changing batteries.
I've been out of the loop for a week and a half, but in what little browsing I've done, I caught remarks on Mortal Kombat 9 coming to Steam. Anyone seen anything?

This thread details everything that seems to indicate MK9 coming to Steam, at one point the tracking things that were linked showed nearly 30 players supposedly playing the game. The tracker has since gone to zero, but it might just be because of the weekend. Seems like it is going to happen even though there has been no official announcement, and that makes me happy because not only would I buy it and attempt to be reasonable at playing fighters, but then hopefully Injustice would be ported as well, preferably in a shorter time frame.

They moved on to Injustice, which launched this week. The scene is still there but a bump wouldn't hurt.
As Phil Fish said, money.
