Okay, I'll own up, it'll be obvious to some that bloodbowl started me on this line of thinking. But I adore progression in games, but the issue is you never really lose progress. Multiplayer with permadeath quickly desolves into politics and rage quits.
Essentially I want a game that's team A vs team B (be that one person or many) and the consequences of each battle/match/etc have baring on the next.
Not a ladder ranking, not a score, not only advantages. Consequences.
