Thread: New Guild Missions
03-04-2013, 09:55 PM #121
Thanks to everyone who turned up for the event, as usual it was fun. We gave the guild treks a first look, assisted by a certain guide... As was to be expected, it was a great success. At some point we should try to do the trek mission without a guide though, this way it'll be a bit more challenging I suppose.

I'd say wednesday 9pm GMT or at saturday 8 or 9pm GMT, those days have been our standard days so far.John Thorns, Rakel, Elizia Crow, Shiro Kanjo, Edda Swan, Eril Stenr - kinjru.2439

I guess we're a little late to announce for this evening now...? Might be more people on at the weekend anyway.GW2: Saphnabylni & co.

My internet is borked again so I don't wanna commit to arranging something only to not turn up. However I would suggest the weekend as a sensible option.

Ok, lets try to have an event at saturday, 9 PM GMT (21:00) (or 8pm GMT if that suits everyone better, but for now 9pm gmt is the time). Guild rush, mission and trek. At least we need to do this week's missions before reset. Hopefully everyone can attend, and perhaps timofee's connection will be better by that time. : )

I'd guess 8 GMT would be better for people as pretty much everyone is on daylight savings time now anyways so the earliest people are going to be on at 9pm this way anyways.

I just came back home from a rather unpleasant day and won't be holding any events tonight. Let's aim for the weekend, Saturday maybe. I probably won't be around that night either, but I'll gladly talk to people if someone else is willing to run the actual event.

We should aim to do *something* before the end of Saturday, since that's the weekly reset for guild missions.GW2: Saphnabylni & co.

Alright, as I've mentioned before I probably won't be around tomorrow night and since noone has expressed the desire to take over the organisation, I would suggest we run something tonight.
Friday, 12.04., 8pm UK time, guild bounty (tier dependent on number of people that show up). If there is interest, we can also have a guild trek mission afterwards.
Edit: Thanks for coming everyone, great fun as always. The guild rush mission was really enjoyable, I hope everyone was able to get through (I think that's the case).

Guild Rushes, most liked it but I struggled with it, so some tips: do not use shortcuts and make sure you do go between EACH flags. Take your time, wait for your scanner to regenerate and move slowly. Be patient you might have to restart from the beginning more than once, just persevere. At the end I felt like a VIP with an escort of 30 people fighting all around me while I SLOWLY progressed through the path.

I hereby rename this mission to : Guild Don't Rush.
Above all having other people around to escort the runners seems crucial to success. The 30mn timer means that there is plenty of time for all to have a decent chance of success, if they have an escort.
Alternative names: - Guild take your pet for a walk- Guild cautious amble
- Guild kill your mates with rockfall traps
- Guild Escort Mission

It's Wednesday again! That means it is time for the traditional "squirrel's social real-life gets in the way and he cannot participate" announcement. Very sorry, but as usual, if there is someone who is willing to give broad directions during the event, just go ahead!
Alternatively, I will be around on Friday and possibly Saturday night for a second / catch-up event.

I'm happy to help out, if needed but don't think I have the appropriate access to start one.Hawksbane | Ripley Hawkswind | Anthrax Lake | Fuschia Panthera

thanks to everyone who came along yesterday and made it another successful, if slightly slapdash, guild event night.

Spontaneous announcement: Catch-up guild mission event tonight, 9pm UK time (1/2 hours from now), meet up in Hoelbrak. We'll start off with a tier 1 guild bounty and will see how it goes from there. We'll be using the RPS GW2 mumble channel.
