Hi folks, I'm looking for feedback on a project I worked on last weekend, at Hacking Health Vancouver 2013 hackathon. It's a simulation of what it is like to live with hypersensitive senses, inspired by this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcS2VUoe12M

The player navigates through a playground as an autistic child with auditory hypersensitivity. Proximity to loud children causes sensory overload for the player, impacting cognitive functions. This impact is represented as visual noise and blur, as well as audio distortion.

You can test it for yourself at http://www.kongregate.com/games/taykad/auti-sim

I would be extremely interested in feedback from people with autism, especially if they don't mind describing what it is like for them.

Disclaimer: I know autism is a very broad spectrum and everyone experiences the sensory aspects differently. This is just an attempt at approximation for neurotypicals, not a hyper realistic model.
