Think that's the only Arah explorable path I've done. It was horrid. Happy to run again if I'm on and you need one more though

Apologies to the Arah squad - my PC crashed, and I couldn't log back in because of the login server problem. Pretty frustrating after spending so much time on the dungeonGW2: Saphnabylni & co.

Well we survived... just unfortunately Saff couldn't reconnect due to Arena Net having a technical issue, we skipped the Gorilla and the last boss was done with a stranger but it was quite easy AFTER we collected crystals ad that was quite hard...
Anyway thanks all and I am happy to run Arah 4 too whenever you guys want, next week is a bank holiday week actually
PS I'll run any Arah dungeon anytime

Maybe melee is the way to go? So long as the group is confident it has enough dps to take down the grubs quickly in phase 1. This almost seems like Subject Alpha -- stacking seems to remove some of the potency of the aoe.
But perhaps this is only a viable tactic for mostly-heavy groups. I should really get around to not being terrible at playing the warrior in dungeons... (I mean, how hard can it be?)GW2: Saphnabylni & co.

WOW I have no idea how we can replicate this but we can certainly get better in killing this dinosaur without dying 10 times in a row.
So when are we trying path 4 again? :P
I should be around most of the bank holiday weekend (Sunday I shoudl be out in the morning/early PM though)so if anyone wants to do this again we can settle on one afternoon to try this.

I'll be up for that, would like to finally complete the dungeon master title, as it has been tantalisingly close for a little while now.
Saph still needs p1 though so working out a way to get through Lupicus quickly would be useful, I ran CoE with 2 guardians and that really worked well on Subject Alpha, the stacks of might turned me into a dps monster, but I do go down even easier in the melee.

Wasn't that our 3 guardian run?
I think at least 2 of us were running empowering might so there was a pretty constantly huge might stack on everyone :3
I'd also be up for some arah if you needed a little one and I was actually around (and with working internet) for once when you go :3

Very useful video on the risen priestess of Dwayna (path 4) here. This is a recent video, so it should be up-to-date re her recent healing nerf. (The action starts a few minutes in, after they finish gathering tears...)
They anticipated Simin's first invis/invuln at 50% health by going to aggro the sparks early. This, IMO, is what got them into phase 2 (which I think we failed at). I read somewhere that if she heals to over 60% then she will always invuln at 50% -- we interpreted this as being a bug, but actually it's just a really frustrating mechanic. We were never fast enough with the spark run to get it done before she healed to 60%. The initial spark run has to be really fast -- you need to go to the sparks before she goes invisible.
Their spark runs were far from flawless after this. But that excellent first one was what allowed them to progress. I reckon we could manage this.GW2: Saphnabylni & co.

Yeah it looks simple enough and clever we just need to reset if we don't make it fast enough at first.
