Just play the game, then. It's free and cute. It also has difficulty settings, so there's no excuse not to.

Anyone else loved the background choir during Bioshock: Infinite's opening in the Welcome Center?
    - If the sound of Samuel Barber's "Adagio For Strings" makes you think of Kharak burning instead of the Vietnamese jungle, most of your youth happened during the 90s. -

Bastion's sticks with me, and now Infinite's probably will too. I like it when there are at least a few tracks with actual lyrics. I also loved the Timesplitters soundtracks, dat nostalgia.

I'm pretty sure I did play it, actually. Oh well, can't hurt to do it again.

Yes, the second time I went through the Welcome Center I noticed how it set the mood so well.

The Dig has an awesome ethereal soundtrack which can be downloaded here or listened at youtube. The sound quality could be better as the orchestral music is purely synthesized.

There are good ambient pieces in I-War 2's soundtrack: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL323C1C22342B8C9A

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth has a very dark and oppressing soundtrack. Excellent stuff but the individual tracks are not very listenable. Someone should do a remix. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2AC936C77AFAD6E3

It's no PC game but let's just say that Final Fantasy isn't the only one with some incredible classical compositions.

The only one that stuck with me was Hotline Miami.

Kings Quest. Haha no (does anyone listen to midi soundtracks?)

    I like Tomb Raider.

Go onto YouTube and look for "skyrim tay zonday". It's the same guy who did Chocolate Rain. Use good headphones(important!) and turn it up. You will indeed have an eargasm. Much respect for his ability to produce amazing music.

Vampire Bloodlines has a fantastic soundtrack, love it so much.

    Bastion
    Diablo 2
    Morrowind
    Deus Ex HR
    Quake 2 (Sonic Mayhem!)

Every now and then I youtube the Super Metroid SNES soundtrack. Unbelievable stuff really. That game is a masterpiece.

Edit: Should have mentioned Hotline Miami!

Bastion, Mirror's Edge, VVVVVV, Frozen Synapse, Deus Ex: HR, and maybe some others, but that's what comes to mind.

Just in case you missed it from my other thread. The Top Score Podcast with Emily Reese is a must if you are into your gaming soundtracks. Matt Uelmen, Jeremy Soule, Darren Korb and all sorts of other interesting dudes on there.

I second this and thank once again to Skeletor for discovering this amazing podcast. The last one is about Remember me, which seems to bring some nice european music to the mix.

I actually listen to a lot of games soundtracks.

A few favorites, in no particular order:
    Guild Wars 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhNeZZ-oRPE, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eBh5KiISYY)
    The Witcher 2
Some tracks of Ace Combat 6
    Mirror's Edge
    Portal 2
    God of War 1/2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEV5c_rw3cI)
    Bastion
    Mass Effect 2
    Killzone 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPbURgbvRZk)
    Dawn of War 2
Novastorm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQNLcH-DFho); real hard to find but the whole thing does exist
Deus Ex HR; apparently there are two versions, one with many more tracks than the other (the one I have has 25)
    Shatter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYhsrelfbb4)
    Uncharted (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeUYzDgs498)
    SPACE MARINE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vt26l-BWpw)
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOLNjWZgfOc)

I also like covers/orchestral versions of old tracks:
Just about any cover from Lindsey Stirling (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLnL63cXmD8)
    Smashing... Live! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIsjSQRot78)
    Video Games Live (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHcRkWzqNCc)
The Greatest Video Game Music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzejgj_UghI)

I'm really hoping this works with that many links in the post. Now I'm going to scour this thread for new music to pick up.

Just a small bunch for me. Halo (any game, they all have lovely music), Dear Esther has some very interesting music, and a handful from Gears of War. I would like to point out that I would not have survived Fallout 3 without Galaxy Radio :).

I'm all about listening to the Bioshock Infinite soundtrack. Sooo sooo good. Also love the music from Crysis 3, that game has a surprisingly good soundtrack

DOOM, VVVVVV, Super Metroid, Darius Gaiden (The disk of which doubles as a Red Book Audio CD! And has definitely seen quite a bit of play time in my car.), Hotline Miami, Machinarium.

As a fan of ambient music, I've been really enjoying the Starbound soundtrack.
There are samples here, but what you get with a preorder is currently about 60 tracks - even if the game didn't deliver I think I'd still have my money's worth.
