Crikey, I am not sure how I missed this previously! Firewhirl Entertainment send word that their new game, Citadel Wars, has just been released, and it looks like a checklist of things that should be a fun time. It’s a mixture of “RTS, Tower Defense and FPS”, all set within “a totally destructible environment”. That means battling swarms of ork-like creeps with magic, bows, and other fantasy weapons. The cartoony trad fantasy theme might not exactly be fresh, but it’s looking appropriate and pretty tidy – and destructible! I’m downloading the full thing at the moment, so I’ll let you guys know a bit more when I’ve had time to play it, but you don’t need to wait for my thoughts because there’s a demo, and also a peculiarly self-deprecating trailer which I’ve posted below.
